This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through our application, NotifReader ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

Our primary goal with NotifReader is to provide a seamless, hands-free experience by reading your incoming notifications aloud using Text-to-Speech (TTS). Consequently, we have designed the App with privacy as a foundational principle.

Notification Data:
In order to provide its core service, NotifReader requires the "Notification Access" permission on your Android device. This allows the App to intercept and read incoming notifications.

• Local Processing Only: All notification content (including message text, sender details, and app names) is processed entirely locally on your device for the sole purpose of speech synthesis (Text-to-Speech).
• No Data Retention or Storage: We do not store, log, or save the content of your notifications. As soon as a notification is read aloud or dismissed by the system filtering rules, it is discarded by the App.
• No Remote Transmission: NotifReader absolutely does not upload, transmit, or share your notification content, personal data, or any related information to external servers, third-party services, or any other entities.

Personal Information:
We do not collect any personal information (such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location data) when you use the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

Any data the App accesses is used strictly for the following purposes:

• Text-to-Speech (TTS) Conversion: To read your selected app notifications aloud.
• Filtering & Scheduling: To apply your customized settings (such as app-specific filtering, system filtering, and Quiet Time schedules).

All of these functions are executed locally on your device.

3. Third-Party Access and Data Sharing

Since we do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information or notification data over the internet, we do not share any such data with third parties. Your data remains strictly on your device.

The App utilizes your device's built-in Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine (such as Google TTS or Samsung TTS). The handling of speech synthesis by the system TTS engine is governed by the privacy policy of the respective TTS provider.

4. Required Permissions

To function correctly, NotifReader requests the following permissions:

• Notification Access (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE): Necessary to listen to incoming notifications and read them aloud. Without this permission, the App cannot function.
• Boot Default / Auto-Start (Optional): Used to resume the announcer background service after your device restarts.

5. Security of Your Information

We prioritize the security of your data. By ensuring that all notification processing happens offline and locally on your device, we inherently protect your sensitive information from unauthorized external access, leaks, or breaches.

6. Children's Privacy

These services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy here. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
